Who We Are
Everyone’s Welcome
Cru is an Inter-denominational (we have students involved from Lutheran, Methodist, Presbyterian, Catholic, Baptist, etc backgrounds) on college campuses that exists to help students grow in their relationship with God- no matter where they are spiritually. Cru exists on thousands of campuses in the United States, in cities in almost every country of the world.
No Matter Where You’re Coming From
Cru at Mizzou’s desire is to provide a safe, non-judgmental place for any student who is exploring spiritual things, trying to figure out who Jesus is, or is just curious…. while also providing a rich community for those who may have grown up with a Christian background and really want to continue to grow in their faith. If you have any questions about life- anything ranging from religion, purpose, values, death, tragedy, to “Who is Jesus Christ” and “What exactly is the basic message of the Bible?” we hope to be a resource for you as you journey along.
Fun, Laid-back, Family Atmosphere
One of the best things about Cru is the family atmosphere. We also have a lot of fun along the way- some of our annual shindigs include: Rootbeer Kegger, Crulapalooza, Ugly Christmas Sweater Party and the Cru VMA’s.
Preparing for the Rest of Your Life…
We are a group of students who care deeply about the spiritual condition of every person at Mizzou. We desire that every student and faculty member would have the chance to grow into a relationship with God, be built in their faith and have the heart and “know how” (ie lifeskills) to be confident in walking with God for a lifetime and to be a light in their future community- whether as a neighbor, friend, spouse, parent, community member, etc.
A Brief History…
We are part of the international organization, Cru, that has been at Mizzou since the 1960s. In addition to a large weekly group meeting on Thursday nights in Waters Auditorium, Cru offers weekly small groups, retreats, conferences, Spring Break trips, Summer Projects, & loads of other opportunities to grow in your faith. There are also staff & volunteers who would love to be a resource to you.
